Bassam Babi M.D.
FAAP
Dr. Bassam Babi is a board-certified pediatrician with over 30 years of experience dedicated to the health and well-being of children. He completed his pediatric residency at Rush Children’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, and has been board certified in Pediatrics since 1994. Ranked in the top 5% of his medical school class, Dr. Babi was honored as Outstanding Senior President by Rush Medical Students and received the National Leadership Award from the National Republican Congressional Committee.
After running a successful solo practice in Jacksonville, Alabama for seven years, Dr. Babi took over what is now Babi Pediatrics 459 in 2012. Under his leadership, the clinic has become a trusted cornerstone of pediatric care in the community, known for its compassionate approach and high patient volume. He has frequently been recognized as one of the “Busiest Pediatricians” in the surrounding areas, a reflection of the deep trust families place in his care.
Dr. Babi lives in Birmingham with his wife and their four children and is a proud grandfather to two granddaughters. His career reflects a lifelong commitment to service, excellence, and the healing of future generations.
Tammy Loggins

Tammy Loggins is a dynamic, people-first leader with more than two decades of experience keeping pediatric practices running smoothly behind the scenes. Known for her calm command of office operations, she blends heart and hustle to create systems that serve both patients and staff. From managing complex schedules to leading teams through pandemic-era transitions, Tammy has proven her ability to adapt, train and optimize all while preserving the human touch. At Babi Pediatrics, she’s the quiet engine driving patient care forward managing vendors, hiring staff, and saving costs with smart systems. Before that, she anchored operations at Growing Up Pediatrics for 22 years, mentoring new admins and building deep trust with families. But her leadership doesn’t stop at the office. As Interim Youth Minister at First Baptist Church Vincent, Tammy nurtures the next generation with intentionality, creativity, and care. Whether guiding teens or handling sensitive patient needs, she leads with integrity, discernment, and warmth. Tammy brings strong values, scheduling savvy, and bilingual communication to any team. She’s not just organized she’s mission-driven, always building something better for the people she serves.
Amber Walls CRNP
FNP-C
Amber Walls, CRNP, FNP-C, is the newest Nurse Practitioner at our clinic and a powerful asset to our team. With a Master of Science in Nursing and over 15 years of diverse healthcare experience, Amber brings both heart and clinical expertise to the forefront of patient care. Her background spans hospice, hospital systems, home health, and nurse education, giving her a rare, well-rounded lens on how to treat the whole patient not just the symptoms. Before joining us, Amber led teams as a Director of Nursing, developed evidence-based palliative care curricula, and trained new generations of nurses through high-impact simulation and interdisciplinary collaboration. She's not only fluent in chronic disease management and patient advocacy, but deeply committed to a holistic, patient-centered approach that prioritizes emotional and social wellness alongside physical health.
Board-certified and actively involved in organizations like the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau, Amber stays current, connected, and grounded in best practices. Whether she’s crafting individualized care plans or educating patients on preventive health, Amber leads with warmth, clarity, and integrity. We’re thrilled to have her compassion, competence, and calm authority guiding care in our practice.
